Odd then that in actuality things are worse than the have been for decades.

In the women's game we have nobody, not even on the radar, not even worth discussing.

In the men's game we have a guy who just can't bring himself to retire, a bunch of no-hopers and a great white hope that is becoming a big white elephant. Our tennis association is paying his coach a fortune for presiding over a severe decline in his physical condition.

Well things aren't so bad.  I mean it depends how you look at it, in the mens have five players in top 300 and in the womans have eight players in the top 300.

Compare that to Spain... 5 players in the top 20, or France, 7 in the top 50... (Or even Belgium, with 6 in the top 200... Wink)

Yeah, this is a legitimate point to discuss, maybe not the elephant part, but it's an improvement for Fuzz!

I never thought that i would say this but fizzies points are very valid. British tennis is in a rather depressing decline at the moment. 2007 looks to be a not so memerable year for all the wrong reasons. It's concerning

I wish Arka was here. He would pull Fuz to parts over this issue. He could name 10 up and coming junior British girls. Never mind boys.  British tennis has a bright future.
