Edinburgh men's singles14 year old Oliver Golding made his futures main draw debut and managed to bagelled his opponanent in the 2nd set before going down in 3 sets.
Richard Gabb and Jack Capenter both won their first ATP points, each defeating other Brits, but unfortunately didn't progress further.
Other Brits through to the 2nd round were Evans, Cox, Willis and Andrew Fitzpartick.
The only Brit to make it through to the QFs was Willis who beat Fitzpartick in stright sets.
Evans was beat by the guy who won the Bournemouth future and Cox was beaten by the 4th seed who then defeated Willis in thr QF

Bournemouth girl's singlesNaomi Broady (1st seed) was 5-1 down to Michaela Ince when Ince turned her ankle and was forced to retire. Broady was defeated in the QFs.
Samantha Vickers beat the Dutch 2nd seed in round one but but convincingly went out in R2.
14 year old Jessica Ren make it into the QFs with a loss of a single game in her R1 match.
girl's doublesStephanie Cornish and Timea Babos (of Hungary) were goiven a walkover in the final against Fench opponants.
Edinburgh girl's singlesOut of the 14 Brits in the main draw, 7 made it through to the 2nd round with 1st seed Broady making the final with the loss of a single set and 4th seed Elizabeth Thomas making the QFs.
NewcastleGolding beats Gabb to earn his frst ranking point at the age of 15 and 8 months.

Ashley Hewitt (17) and Ben Davis (16) also get their first points with victories over 2nd and 5th seeds.

Cox, Milton, Phillips, Bain, Smethurst and Arlidge make it 9 Brits into the 2nd round.
