Looking at the stats on the ATP it's much better than Andy! His 1st serve % is 13th in the world at 69%. Andy is 105th with 58%. He's 3rd for 2nd serve points won although the fact that only 1 match counts and he was serving at 69% that's not a huge number of points. He still wins 64%

Thing that makes the difference though is that they switch places for Points won on 1st serve with Andy up nearer the top and Jamie sitting around 130. And Andy's top 10 for almost all returning stats (2nd for returning 1st serve and 3rd for return games won) and Jamie's outside the top 100.

But Jamie's stats are based on one match against Kalovic, who has a good serve which is hard to return.  Karlovc isn't the best at returning, which is why his serve is ranked s high.

I assume this is for the match against Dr Ivo at the AO?

If so, I saw the 1st 3 sets of this match and it's no wonder his return of serve was so low. Dr Ivo sent down some massives serves during the match. Jamie did well to take a set off him and I think Jamie broke his serve twice.

BBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOO the rankings system!!!  shocking no

Despite beating the world number 41 in straight sets Baker is going to drop out of the top 250, to about 271, because he's dropping 24 points from a challenger semi this time last year.

Doesn't matter, if he can play at that level more often, he can break into the top 150 no problem. Maybe higher.

Are you suggesting Boggo doesn't work hard, isn't committed and doesn't deserve his ranking then?

History tells us this could be the case.

Well done Jamie B, I think this weekend was a good opportunity for John Lloyd to see how his other DC choices handled the pressure and Jamie did a great job.

Because he doesn't get as good results as other players??
Just because Federer is the best doesn't mean he works the hardest, where do you get the impression Boggo doesn't work hard while Baker does?

No, I mean how the LTA have punished him for being lazy in the past.

The commentators at the DC were saying that when Boggo was getting funding from the LTA the first time round his ranking was pretty bad, they withdrew funding and his ranking shot up to the highest it's ever been and the LTA reconsidered and have given him funding again, along with the help of Brad Gilbert and now his ranking has dropped out of the top 200 again.  When he has to find the money himself he makes sure he wins some dosh.
