Of the Brits, only Eaton has reached the final qualifying round.
Main draw is out (
http://www.atptennis.com/en/common/TrackIt.asp?file=http://www.atptennis.com/1/posting/2008/4040/mds.pdf
). Of the Brits Boggo is seeded 7th.

Eaton lost in 3 to Hrbaty. He's had some good wins and close loses since Wimbledon, but just not enough to progress any furthur up the rankings. He'll be overshadowed by Evans and hopefully Cox next year.

Slabba beat Sirianni (4th seed) 6-2 6-2 and Skupski and Fleming continued their winning doubles partnership.
Cox unsurprisingly lost 6-2 6-1 to Hrbaty.

Big chance for Slabba to defend some of the points he won in Nov and Dec last year.

Goodall and Ward are both though to R2.
Shame that Goodall has to play Slabba in R2 although it does guarantee a quarter-finalist.
Evans and Bloomers both lost win tie-breakers. Not too bad a loss for them although wins would obviously have been better.

Sorry to be the bearer of more bad news after A-Rod's withdrawal, but here's an update on our old friend
Alex Bogdanovic... who, er, didn't quite make it to Shanghai.
Boggo went to Jersey instead and has lost to a player ranked 55 places below him. He didn't even win the first set this time either...

Bloomers should have won at home against a very average Challenger player, but Evans definitely did wiell to take it to a final set TB.

Josh beat Slabba 6-1 6-4 and should beat his quarter final opponent. Ward lost to Guccione 13-11 in the third set breaker. Wouldn't surprise me if he had a match point in there somewhere. That's hopefully sign of things to come with him next year.

Josh lost to Zib 6-7(6) 6-4 6-4.
Better news in the doubles though - Fleming and Skupski made the doubles final.

Fleming definitely has potential to be ranked as high as Jamie in doubles. I think we could see them in the DC together next year or maybe 2010.
Boggo gets to stay at no.2 for a little longer then.
