Next year, Jamie will be a much much much improved player and he should definitely be in the team. But this year....
I think that Jamie can crack the top 100 next year.
But this is a tie where these guys DO have a chance of matching up against their opponents. 177 and 354 is not a big ask for these boys. Andy can beat them both in his sleep, that's two in the bag and a Jamie/Colin or Jamie/James doubles team could thrash whatever doubles team they can come up with seeing as they are ranked resonably high in comparison. Jamie wouldn't even have to pull a single victory out of the bag where he has the ability to take at least one. You've gotta give these guys a chance and a matchup in the depths of Euro/Africa Zone 1 is the place to do it. |

Yeah but they're like the Andy/Greg/Tim of the football worls. It's the could-be-good players that only get one chance to prove themselves in the team. Don't know if I totally agree with it but with so many others dying for their shot you've gotta give some of them ago. Especially when they're showing such promise on the tour.

Henman is the way forward for this tie. Andy and Greg opening day singles, Henman and greg for the doubles. ANdy and Tim to finish the singles off. What a team that would be. They'd win 5-0. Let's ensure qualification and next year, focus on improving the team, building a specilist doubles unit, and bringing through boggers and murray as the main singles players. But this match is a must win, otherwise, andy and greg ain't gonna be wanting to play in euro zone 2!! If Llyodd feels confident in having the lower ranked players have their moment in this tie, then fair enough i'll back him. But they'd better win is all i have to say. Britain in zone 2 is just nuts.

Chances of Henman playing here is almost nil. He has refused the offer again and again and I respect his decision. And Greg will be stupid to even think of playing here.  |
