Such a shame.  Think Laura needs some help with her serve. Used to be her strong point.

ok Laura now go find a decent coach that can actually help you work on things. That match really went to highlight all of her weaknesses and her strengths as well.

What a shame to end on a double fault - well done Laura.

A counter puncher like Andy always fights back.

Normally, I do not watch WTA, yet this match was somehow exciting. First, of course I wanted Laura to perform well. She has such powerful groundstrokes, but every service is a pain to watch and it must drive tears to her eyes that she gives matches away like today. And although Ana might be a pretty sight as a woman, I was really fed up with all her emotions after each and every point. and I find this racket swinging before apoint is played totally ridiculous.

Pretty close match really, could have gone either way, with some very dodgy serving from both.  Ana saved by her aces perhaps. But a more positive week for Laura than the last tournaments, and good to have ditched the coach if it wasn't working.

Needs two wins to be seeded for French Open.

Draws Venus Williams in R1 and winner takes on Serena Williams in R2.

Easy.

Wouldn't it give her confidence though if she could pull it off.

You're crazy! Serena is bamboozling through Madrid and Venus withdrew from Madrid.

I'm just hoping it'll be one of those 'off' days for Serena.  When she's 'off' she's bad.

She got bageled yesterday then went on to destroy AMG, the only chance Robbo will have is if Sarin loses her arms and legs.
