Laura Robson

She's not guaranteed to beat Wozniacki.

Wozzy is 1-5 on this surface this year.

That's one I want to see. I think Laura does have a good chance there.

Doesn't guarantee anything.

I always relieved to see a tough opponent for Laura R - she wakes up for those. I am always far more worried if she gets a player much lower than her - she loses concentration with those. She will see Wozniaki as a perfectly attainable scalp for her collection. She may lose, but I would not be at all surprised to see her win. It all depends on her serve. If that's firing she will be home and dry?

Agree. Laura is still too wayward and unpredictable in these.

I'm guessing it will be a 3 setter.

After playing horrible throughout the entire clay season, trust Wozniacki to really raise her game for this one. Playing really well, although Robson has just recovered one of the breaks in the second set from 40-0 down. Too little too late though really, Wozniacki up 6-3, 4-2.

Rather predictably Wozniacki breaks straight back and will serve for the match.

Only hope is if she gets nervous now.

Nope Laura out Frown

Nobody to watch now then.

She's gotta sort those double faults. Drove me nuts watching the Olympics Rolling Eyes

Robson hammered by Wozniacki

Laura Robson was hammered 6-3 6-2 by Caroline Wozniacki in a hugely disappointing first round defeat at the French Open.

From Sky Sports ^^

Someone who knows stuff all about the game, quite clearly.

Headlines like that make me fume. On paper Laura should have lost. Laura is currently 37 in the world and Wozi is what, 10? She's also more experienced than Laura. Sure, Wozi's form was terrible going in to that match, but there was no certainty Laura was going to waltz in and win the thing.

I just think it's so annoying that if someone like Andy, and now Laura loses, they either 'crash out' or are 'hammered'. Others are merely allowed to lose.

Heather and the doubles boys. And Laura still in dubs. ?

Not great today from Laura but she'll be back.  Wosniacki gave nothing away today.  Seeding for Wimby looking unlikely now - unless she goes very deep at Eastbourne
