Wildcard obviously Rolling Eyes  But why would they pick someone who isn't even on the tour yet.
How do you think?

I have another, which goes something like "she's from the UK."

There are loads of British kids who play tennis.  I was just curious as to why her.  Otherwise I wouldn't have asked the question.

Well, if they'll give Bogdanovic an entry into the main draw...

Perhaps there's a British wildcard quota to meet and there's not much more out there than her.

Smile They usually give the junior winners a W/C into next years tournie, so it's nothing to do with her being British.

Though it helps! Smile

I read somewhere her junior ranking is 32. confused

Shes ranked 36!  She would have got direct entry with that surely?  According to ITF shes Britain's number 2 girl.

I read that her (junior) ranking will rise to 5.  w00t

Apparently she looks like Ivanovic...
I can see the similarities.

Allan said she hadn't played any ITF events, correct me if I'm wrong, but surely she must after winning a GS.  Think
She's not played any ITF womans' tournaments. £10ks, £15ks and £25ks etc (the woman's equivalent of men's Futures) and therefore not got a WTA ranking).

She has played lots of ITF junior tournaments though. She had to get a wildcard into Wimbledon presumably because she wasn't ranked high enough when the entry deadline was.

I think she's planning on doing some 25Ks at the end of the year, or maybe a couple of the stronger 10Ks.

She is getting way too much hype.  I don't know if anyone remembers but Miles Kasiri lost in the final of the boys singles in 2004, the same year Andy won the US.  He wasn't 14, but still has done nothing of note, having had an awful year so far and has hardly won a match since he got defaulted back around March.  He has never broken the top 500, and his ranking is currently dropping to around the mid 600s.

Hopefully Robson will be like Andy rather than Kasiri, but not all players who have success in the Juniors will have success in the Seniors.
