Fantastic score 6-3 6-1. Plays Ivanovic or Scheepers next.

I missed it - was watching Swindon lose in the play-offs - but just gone on twitter and seen the scoreline.

WOW.

Sounds like the Robson from the USO is back. Seriously impressive result against a player who usually thrashes lower ranked players. You have to assume Radwanska wasn't 100%, but even so, that is some win. Gutted I missed it.

If anyone spots any highlights please link 'em up.

WOW indeed! Laura was great - seemed very calm and controlled. 53% 1st serves in, just 3 DFs

Aga may have spent too long in hair & make up - gone blonde, and almost looked like she was wearing false eyelashes!

Several seeds went out in the 1st round (no byes for the women): Li Na (5), Sam Stosur (9)  Caroline Wozniacki (10) Roberta Vinci (12). Sharapova was pushed to 7-5 in 1st set by the world no 334

Me too, Dani! I would support both of them obviously but maybe Laura a bit more because I wanna see her play more. Will be a very interesting match. Smile

Good for Laura.  Seems like she can perform much better on the big occasions than the small ones.

I think this is great result for Laura. I'm thrilled for her, even if I do like Aggie a bit. I feared for Laura when I saw who she was going to play, considering all of the early round losses she's had this year, and the way Aggie can often pick apart the lower ranked players, but it's fantastic Laura won.

If anyone has the match and would be kind enough to put it on Youtube I'd love to see it. When does Laura play again, any idea?
