None of the Brits made it through Qualifying in Eastbourne unfortunately, although Goodall came within 3 points (losing the 3rd set TB 4-7 to Matty Ebden Frown).

New career-best win for Golding. Unfortunately he couldn't beat Goodall (odd after his win against Brands... maybe a psychological thing against the higher ranked Brits, too much respect?) in QR2. Still, lots of positives to take out of these last few weeks in the bigger tournaments.

O'Mara and JWH also lost in QR1.

Wild Cards James Ward faces in-form Aussie Matosevic (recently broke the top 100 for the first time) who came through Qualifying, whilst Jame Baker takes on Donald Young.

I thought Golding's win over Brands was impressive, but his previous junior rival Croat Mate Pavic today beat Robin Haase 6-4, 7-6 in the 1st round in Den Bosch. Surprised Haase is ranked exactly 600 places above him. Crazy.

Baker and Young have just started, Young already a break up. Ward will probably be in an hour or so.

As I type Baker has broken straight back. 1-1 there.

Baker takes the first set 6-1. Surprised

Won six games in a row having lost his opening service game.

Baker takes out Young 1&4. Smile

New career-best win for him. Donald Young is going heavily backwards after his rise last season.

James Ward about to start his match against Marinko Matosevic.

Strange day for the Brits in Eastbourne. Baker comfortably defeats a guy ranked 150 places higher, Ward is 5-3 up against (a very in-form) guy ranked nearly 100 placed above him and Delgado and Skupski are 6-2, 2-1 (with a break) up against the 4th best Doubles team in the world.

Gimeno-Traver WR 102 - has been 52. This is impressive. We have a batch of good young players coming through.

Golding and Edmund beating two (different) guys ranked #102 over the space of three days (both called Daniel oddly enough). Two big wins for them, not so much in ranking points (well, not for Oli at least), but in terms of the quality of the opponent.

It was only a year ago DGT was taking Murray to 4 sets.

Edmund gets more ranking points from this one win than the rest of his career to date.

Plays Uruguayan Felder in QR2.

Baker takes on Kohly or Soeda in Eastbourne.

Jamie Baker lost to Kohly today 2-6, 6-3, 3-6 but he won 81 points against K's 90, so all very encouraging. His ranking goes up from 200 to about 189

How odd is it that you both posted the same thing at the same time! lol

Was in town continuing the fruitless search for a temp job but saw the result when I checked the scores. Great comeback from a set down.

Skupski and Delgado have had an unbelievable run, taking out the 4th best doubles team in the world in straight sets en route.

Fine comeback from Fleming and Hutchins after the injury lay-off as well, hit the ground running and looking to make up ground after falling away a bit in the race for London.

Fleming and Hutchins get the title 6-4 6-3. trophy

The big difference was the break points converted: 1/6 for Delgado/Skupski and 3/6 for Fleming/Hutchins.
