And Wardy beats Millot 6-4 6-4

Only 1 to go to make the main draw.

I sensed a few steps backwards for Rvans after he went against Leon's advice about playing American tournaments after the Aussie Open. One step forward, two steps back.

Wards deserves the second spot behind Andy.

I thought  Dan Evans has been dealing with injury this year - a knee problem that has been going on for months. Had to pull out of a few tournaments, did his best in some, and then go into others without match practice. This week he lost a very close match against a higher ranked opponent in US Open QR1

Or maybe he just been out clubbing and doesn't care... who knows?

Good luck to Wardy. Match interrupted at the moment at 1-6 6-3 0-1

Perhaps he'll get a "lucky loser?"

Well done Wardy.  Hope he gets a chance by some stroke of luck.

Ok, I've been getting info on the Lucky Loser spots
James finished in the "top 4" losers (seeded players I think!) so as they do a "draw" of the top 4 losers for the order of the LL spots - he has a 1 in 4 chance of getting the Number 1 LL spot and then getting to the main draw if someone pulls out

Well as of right now he's second in line for a lucky loser spot, so I would imagine he'll stay around until Wednesday.

^ you cannot be serious.   But how do you know? Fed doesn't seem to be playing today and can't find tomorrow's schedule yet.  In fact, Fed played yesterday so not due to play again till Friday I think?  confused   As for Andy it would seem schedulers have listened to his team who no doubt asked for his next match to be tomorrow - makes a change at USO.  Rolling Eyes
