trophy First of many pro titles for Kyle.

And Kyle is a relatively late starter to tennis - aged 10.

Hooray - Colin & Ross just won their 1st round match in Paris v Isner & Querrey 6-7 7-6 10-7. All very tight, no breaks of serve.

They play 4th seeds Fyrstenberg & Matkowski next

After Kyle's win last week, our other two top juniors both upset seeds today ranked over 500 places ahead of them.

Broady beat Folie (ranked 334 earlier this year) 1-6, 7-6, 6-1 whilst Luke Bambridge beat the 2nd seed Heller (ranked 450).

Kyle makes it 6 wins in a row as he joins them in R2 with a straight sets win against a WC.

Edmund and Broady have both made the QFs... where they will play each other. Luke unfortunately lost to a recent college grad, but he picks up another point to add to the 2 he got last week.

This will be the first time they've met! Both receive 2 points for getting this far, with 6 points available for reaching the semi-finals.

Kyle is on a 7 match winning streak.

I checked K. E. out and found he's from the same neck of the woods as dear Virginia. Will try not to hold that against him  Whistle

Two weeks ago Hewitt had just a single ranking point. Now, he's picked up 22 ranking points in successive tournaments.

Just beaten Bloomfield for the 2nd time in succession in the 1st round of the Lougborough challenger.

Leyton, you've been a great player and a great champion.  Please now bow out and retire gracefully - like Ferrero and Roddick

^ I agree with that. It's sad to see this decline. He's had some really tough first rounds too, that's what happens when your ranking slips.
He's so competitive though, he'll have a gr8 time playing in the veterans.
Anyone know, do they have to be a certain age b4 they can play?

Loughborough Challenger:

Dan Evans has just beaten 2nd seed and WR92 Aljaz Bedene 6-4, 6-7, 6-3 to set up an all GB 2nd round tie with Jamie Baker.

James Marsalek was a set and a break up against WR127 Evgeny Donskoy (would probably be top 100 if not for missing a large part of 2012 with injury) but eventually went down 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Goodall lost 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 to the 5th seed.

Wow - Kyle just beat the world #455 6-1, 6-3 to reach his 3rd successive QF. He's flying at the moment. Broady did beat him last week btw, before being edged out by the top seed in the semis.

Broady beat Balleret this week (former top 300 player) but lost to a lower ranked American in R2. Bambridge lost to the 2nd seed in R1.

Edmund is now up to #636 in the world after his first Futures title points came through on Monday, and will move to just outside the top 600 after last week and this. If he can beat the 7th seed tomorrow he would climb into the top 600.

Kyle today dispatched of the 7th seed 6-2, 6-2 to make the semis. Smile

That win will see him rise into the top 600.

He plays the top seed in the SFs - the same guy who beat Broady at the same stage last week.

Kyle's on fire!

Beat the top seed Reynet (on a 8 match winning streak, ranked over 300 places above him) 6-1, 6-3 to reach his 2nd final in three weeks.

This is seriously impressive stuff. Kyle has now won 11 of his last 12 matches - and that one loss was to fellow British junior Liam Broady.

In the final he faces he guy he beat for his first title two weeks ago - WR 441 Chase Buchanan.

Neil Pauffley is also into his 2nd Futures final (he won his first 7 weeks ago) and will rise into the top 500 next week.

Pauffley, who had never won a title before in his career until two months ago, has now won his 2nd Futures title after coming from a break down in the deciding set. Will climb comfortably into the top 500 now - over 250 places from where he was prior to his first Futures title.
