Kyle has problems serving things out it seems.

Michalicka wraps it up 7-5 and just like against Buchanan last year, Kyle completely chokes when trying to serve it out.

Michalicka is up a double break and has now won 6 games in a row..

Kyle stops the rot with a break of his own, before being broken for the 5th consecutive time.

And Michalicka seals the third set 6-1 with his sixth consecutive break of serve.

What collapse from 6-2, 5-3. Won just one game after that.

Both capitualtions have come in the final tournament of an intense 3 week period. I think that might have been Kyle's 16th match in the last 20/21 days. And before it was 13, I think, in 20/21 days.

Just been down to Preston Futures... got there in time to hear the winner's speech.

An out-of-the-blue win for Ed Corrie, including a 1 and 3 thrashing of Dan Evans. Remember the name.

He recorded a few decent upsets last year as well, from memory. Or maybe just pushed a few higher ranked players quite close.

He beat Harrison in the final then, after all.

Two unlikely winners in the two British futures last two weeks then, both winning their first Futures events (unless Willis won some before?).

Corrie's been over in the US at college, only started playing again in 2010 and regularly in 2011.

That's Christian Harrison, the American? As I say, I had no idea when the match was on and just wandered down, just in time to hear the winner's speech. The guy making it was clearly British, so I assume it was Corrie.

That was is 3rd singles Futures final. Corrie's reached the final in the doubles numerous times winning 8 of them so in the long run I think he may find himself being a doubles specialist.

He's 5'10 apparently, not that small. Although small for a tennis player, I guess.

Ah see what you mean. Apparently his game is built around movement and defence, unlike his brother who likes to go for power. He'll probably beef up in the coming years.
