Ward leading 3-1 now (though my livestream a game behind)
Same, and keeps on buffering. Might just follow the live scores app.

Winner plays Bozoljac or Devvarman - who together beat Murray and Peers in doubles yesterday

Medical time out for Zverev, though he won the last two games. James to serve at 4-3

Zverev wins 3 games in a row to level it up. From a double break up to all square. doh

Hmm, not at all happy about that medical time out for Zverev, when Wardy about to serve at 4-3. Seemed to go on forever.

Was following the score on app.  Couldn't believe James lost from 4 - 1 up. Saw the long gap in play at 4 - 3 and thought perhaps James had been injured.  Now I know what actually happened. Ta.

Not a good day all round Colin and johnny lost the doubles 2.

Jonny O'Mara wins his first singles ranking point with a 5&2 win v fellow Brit Sam Hutt in Bournemouth. Smile Allan will be pleased.

Golding unfortunately will be looking at a big tumble down the rankings in the coming weeks, defending 37 points over the next month. Won just 1 match all year, having missed a chunk with injury and having really struggled to find his form since.

Broady also missed most of season with injury.

Of all the youngsters, it's Tom Farquharson who's been most impressive, perhaps even more so than Edmund. The 21yo has been bageling players left right and centre through qualifying and reached a couple of Futures SFs lately, twice beating Adam Pavlasek (18yo in top 500) and had just beaten Dubarenco (same year as Olly, also top 500). Will rise into top 750 on Monday from #1230 at the start of the year.

Thanks MH. How exciting for Jonny O'Mara!

I see Oli Golding retired from his match last week, but says he is back in training now, so nothing too serious presumably. Let's hope he gets some better results.

Others also dropping in the rankings unfortunately - with James Ward and Jamie B going out of top 250 next week.

Good win today though for Colin & Jonny in Barcelona, beating 4th seeds Qureshi & Roger - who knocked them out of Monte Carlo last week! They play Peya & Soares next.

Yeeeeaaaassssss! Great win for us and put some demons to bed after last week. Move on to 2nd round now....

At one point last year we had Ward in the top 150, Baker in the top 200 and Goodall just outside. Now Murray will be the only Brit in the top 250! Just really disappointing. Ward should be able to get back into the top 200 in the latter part of the season where's defending almost nothing, but Baker hasn't won a single match outside Futures since the AO and Goodall has had a torrid season. Seems like only Corrie, Edmund and Farquharson are really progressing this year.

Disappointing loss 2day, didn't use our chances. Learn from it & move on! Flying home tonight for a few weeks to get niggling injury sorted.

The current junior #10, a 17yo New Zealander called Cameron Norrie, will be changing his nationality to British in the next few weeks according to Luke Bambridge.

Trains at the National Tennis Centre in the UK and plays British futures and junior events. Not sure what his background is, but obviously some British link in there.

Luke Bambridge‏@LukeBambridge4015m
@GBtennis FYI Cameron Norrie is training at The NTC and will be changing nationality over the next few weeks. #Brit #LeftyCurler

Norrie beat the top seed WR388 Rosenholm yesterday in Bournemouth and took Dan Cox to three close sets today. Looks like a promising player.

Ah, bit more from Luke:

Luke Bambridge‏@LukeBambridge4029m
@TennisDispatch  @GBtennis born in SA. Moved at an early age to NZ. His Mum is SA but born in wales and his dad is Scottish.

Good to see James Ward is through to QFs in An-ning CH after qualifying, which takes him back into the top 250 (at 242 at the moment)

A good win against the 4th seed Ouanna.

In the QFs he plays a 21yo ranked in the 400s who is into his first Challenger QF. Great opportunity there!

In Edinburgh Futures, QFs are:

(1) Smethurst v Fitzpatrick
Coric v (5) Kubler
Gabb v (4) Folie
Bambridge v Hewitt

Guaranteed 2 GB semi-finalists. 5th seed Jason Kubler was on a par with Tomic (and a year younger) at junior level before an injury-ravaged season (hugely damaging at junior level). Massive potential, still only 19. One of a dozen Aussies with top 50 potential.

16yo Coric qualified in Bournemouth, then won it, then travelled to and qualified for Edinburgh and is now into the QFs here as well. 11 wins in 11 days. Crazy.

Corrie (thrashed last year's junior #1 Peliwo yday) and Milton are top seeds in Greece.

Watching James Ward playing a rain delayed QF in China against 21 yr old Serbian Danilo Petrovic.

Dreadful 1st set, 0-6, winning only 5 points! Tighter 2nd one, but Wardy broken with Petrovic to serve for the match at 5-4.  Ward broke back, went 2-5 down in tie break before winning it 7-5. Now leading 3-0 in the 3rd set.

All the seeds out in this tournament, with the highest ranked (Ito, came in as qualifier) also out this morning. All very unpredictable!

Then Petrovic takes a medical time out - as Zverev did against Ward when he'd gone two breaks down in the last tournament. But Ward not collapsing this time so far. Leads 5-0
