Naomi played in the European Junior Individual Championships last week. It was on clay, a surface that does not suit her much, but she performed really well and reached the quarters before losing to second seed Alize Cornet.

As a result her Junior ranking went up to 27! woohoo

Naomi is a promising player, but it remains to be seen whether talent can produce good results on the main tour. I agree she seems like a good player, and she put up a good performance at Wimbledon, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high due to the recent performances of GB women. Maybe with the changes in the LTA that are now taking place then we might soon start to see some positive results for all of GB's women players, and indeed the men too.

After the USO, Naomi will play Women's tennis once more. Smile

She's entered for the 10K in Nottingham.
