New sub-forum, your thoughts?
« on: June 26, 2008, 10:35 PM »
EDIT:
So now it's for British Tennis, what are your thoughts?
Actually, maybe this sub-forum should be dedicated to British tennis
Well, let's see how he does and that might end up being an option.

I was thinking about this sub forum........
I reckon it'd be good to have 3 sub forums - :
British Men
British Women
British Juniors.
Then have a topic for everything related to each player under each category. OR better yet, a sub forum within the sub forum
That way everything is kept together. I mean, with the increasing numbers of visitors and the increasing membership, have sections on British Tennis in general can only be a good thing no? Just something I was thinking about last night

You're taking the piss right? That would be overkill!
I think this board probably will need to change to 'British Tennis'...

There is already a very good board dedicated to British Tennis. This is a good board dedicated to Andy Murray, and it should stay like that.
And him being in the DC squad and British no.2 is ridiculous. He'll never be ranked abov Boggo and Baker, while all 3 play a complete schedule. I wonder how the media will react when he loses in the quarters of his next future, if its even reported.

I find that a completely invalid argument, so what if there is another good board on British Tennis? Should Yahoo and Microsoft shut down their search because Google is better? No and competition is healthy for the consumer and in this case, the forum user.
However, I've read your thoughts on Eaton and am inclined to believe what you have said so for now this place will be a British Tennis sub-forum but remember, it's only a sub-forum, the forum is still about Andy Murray.

Well, I guess this is better than a Eaton sub-forum.

No I was serious. It was only an idea, I didn't say you had to do it or else AM.com was going to hammer your visitor count! (
)
But yeah, British Tennis is a good sub-forum to have. Should move all the topics on players in here if a mod or yourself has time? (EDIT: You already did! Good job
) And keep it exclusively player based if possible, with News Articles and maybe topics for each of the British Tournaments or something...... meh, whatever. It'll grow itself into what the members want to contribute and read about

Still not sure what should be here and what shouldn't... I prefer the idea of the Davis Cup ties being in Tennis Talk but then technically it should be here

Well, you could just put players in here then........ That's what I was thinking initially. Because most of us are interested in following them all at somepoint..... Bear in mind, it's USUALLY a core group that creates topics for the DC and so on, so if we know what you want, we'd put it where u like. I agree it should be in Tennis Talk.

Should all Henman related threads be in here or is it too much effort to move them just now?

Yeah I think so and I just haven't bothered to do it yet just in case everyone bitched and then I had to remove the sub-forum.
Be my guest though

If he didn't retire we would have had to give him his own sub-forum.
