She was supposed to team up for Richard at Wimbly '05 for the Mixed Doubles, but Richard got injured and they couldn't play. Frown

Tara! woohoo

So this explains her not taking part in Kentucky.....

She tried to qualify for a 10K in Caracas and like last time, she succeeded. Very Happy

Main draw:

Best of luck to the girl.

Hmmmmm.... this is interesting. Wink

Tara was in the Alts. list for the 10K in Nottingham but withdrew. Obviously she needed to play qualies, but I believe that she may just get a WC into the mains. Think

She is also in the qualies Alts. for the 25K. Surprised

Although getting a wild card for the mains in unlikely, I think that she will get a WC into the qualies.

So a trip to Britain must be in her mind. clap

We don't know for sure, she hasn't withdrawn from the 50K's in Japan and USA that week yet.

I don't think that she will make a trip to Japan. She was in the alts for a 10K this week and in the alts for a 25K next week. She withdrew from both.

Is it likely that she will make a trip to Japan just because she wants to take part in a 50K where she doesn't have much chance of even making the qualies draw, leave alone the main draw? Nope.

But she may think of practising there and playing in Osaka Mayor's after taking rest for a week. dontknow

Playing 50K qualies in the US will not be that great an option either. Although she maybe given a wilcard into the qualies because she is based out there, there's not much chance that she'll win against people ranked in the top 300 and qualify. But yes.... it will be a learning experience in any case.

So her most likely course of action is a trip to Britain, where she should be given a wild card into the 10K and a wild card into the qualies of the 25K. After that she should skip a week and either participate in Osaka Mayor's or in another 25K in Britain.

It's fun speculating schedules even when there is so little chance that you are correct. roflmao roflmao

Speaking of Osaka Mayor's....

Can anyone help me by giving me the entry list? It was released on the 11th of September. However, either the site doesn't work, or it doesn't work just on my computer. ranting

In any case, the site should be in Japanese, so one may need to do a bit of blind guessing. Wink

1st round:

Tara MOORE (GBR) defeated Luciana SARMENTI (ARG) 36 76(4) 75

2nd round:

Tara MOORE (GBR) defeated Marina GIRAL (VEN) 75 76(4)

In the QF she has a very tough match against #3 seed Molinero.

Yep. Frown

But this is so good. Surprised   And she's just fourteen.

I do hope that she will come to Britain and will get the wildcard. She needs to play in four tournaments before she gets her ranking (I believe), and she needs two more.

She needs 3 tournaments with ranking points. She has 0.75 from her 1st event, and 2.25 (so far) from this event so she needs one more event. Losing in the 1st round of 25K qualifying would get her 0.25 points I think so that would be enough.
