Melanie South is playing on court 6 and is leading 42 first set.

Edit:  She just lost 76 62.  She played brilliantly in the first set and she should have won it.

Frinton-on-Sea 10K, GBR:

A very good week for sixth seed Georgie Stoop. She reached the second 10K finals of her life, knocking out top seed Jane O'Donoghue in the semis. She lost to the fifth seed in the finals.

Stoop teamed up with the same O'Donoghue and they won the doubles tournament. Very Happy

Deborah Armstrong got a wildcard and did justice to it as she reached the quarters before losing to the eventual tournament winner.

A good week for us since these two are two of our young hopes with ages 18 and 17 respectively.

Lovely performance from Anna Fitzpatrick. clap

She is ranked 1140, but went on to win the title. She is still 17, so there is some hope.......

At last, some good news from Jade Curtis. Very Happy

She got a rubbish draw, as she faced fifth seed Emily Webley-Smith. But she won in straight sets. woohoo

Now come on Jade and play like the way you were doing earlier this year. I believe that she has finally come out of the terrible patch she was going through.

Jade is perfectly capable of picking up her first 10K title this week.  Fitzpatrick did it last week and Jade is ranked higher and is a better player than she is.
