Yes... the alliance is growing.. Nadal might feel the pressure of making # 50, and combined with Tim's slice back, could certainly make life difficult for Rafa.

I don't agree. Nadal is on fire on clay at the moment. Tim may take a set off him as Rafa seems to have a habit recently of playing a dodgy middle set but he'll pull through in the end. On grass my money'd definately be on Tim at the moment but you've gotta look at what Nadal's done against guys like Coria, Gaudio, Moya, all clay court specialists ans he crucified him. Gaudio was playing like a man posessed and he still took him to the cleaners. Not to mention what he regularly does to Federer on clay. How many guys on the tour can have Fed running scared, double faullting with nerves. And Tim's not even that good on clay. I'm sorry, it's just not gonna happen. I'd say Rafa in 3. Maybe 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

It would be nice if Tim did win, I'll be cheering him on anyway.

I think Andy Roddick will defect Greg in striaght sets. Roddick beaten 5 times already.

hug That's settled then! Im not bad either so we'll just accept the "differences"  hug

By the way. Before anyone accuses me of being "anti-Brit players" (which i have been accused of before...) - i think i will be cheering on Roddick. Embarassed Might not be the best place to say that. Rolling Eyes
If it wasn't for Roddick, i would not like tennis, hence not be here. So i have my duty of sticking by him . . .
Especially that he's had a **** year and last year. He REALLY needs to keep up there and i think if he doesn't come back now, they may never be an "again".
Im sorry guys....

I get your point. Of all the guys I watched before Andy was on the scene I liked to watch Roddick. I hope he does well in the grass court season. He really needs it. And the US Open for that matter. It'll be an interesting match anywhichway. Plus, I don't know if Greg's got it in him. It's been a good run for him.

I predict a 2-6, 3-5 ret. victory for Tim, with Nadal suffering a rotator cuff injury in his left arm while serving out the match.

sounds like a plan. funny thing about this.... the way rafa hits i'm surprised he doesnt injure his left arm more often...

I disagree, I think he is a fine clay court player and has proved this many times by reaching the RG semis, Monte Carlo semis and quarters twice. ( too name but a few) hes has also beaten some fine clay court experts such as coria and gaudio!
