Your Davis Cup team for Ukraine

Yes because he's Scottish.

Why, because Fleming's Scottish?

Yeah, Scotland is better than England at tennis.

England is better than Scotland at sport in general. Anything else, panda face? :P

We're comparing Scotland and England in the sport of TENNIS. You were the one drawing on irrelevant comparisons, now feck off. Wink

Also, aren't you Russian or something?

Yes because he's Scottish.

Are you being sarcastic?

Andrew, so what if Scotland is better. That's not the point here. The discussion is whether Fleming should be in or not.

I was joking. Fleming does not deserve to be anywhere near the team.

He does if he wins the play off.

He won't.

Apparently... Ward leads Evans 7-6; Eaton leads Slabba 6-4; Goodall v Fleming starts at 12.30pm.

So Ward beat Evans in 5 sets, Eaton beat Slabba in 4 sets and Goodall beat Fleming 6-4 6-4 6-4. Can't find exact scores for the first two matches.

Scores/results:

Fleming beats Evans 7-5 6-2 0-6 6-0 (lol I've played and had a scoreline like that)
Eaton v Ward: 6-3 6-2 6-7(3) 2-6 13-13  ( w00t)
Goodall beat Slabinsky 6-3 3-6 7-5 4-6 6-2 (I think Goodall will get in.)

http://www.lta.org.uk/Articles/Davis-Cup---match-by-match/The-play-offs---Day-2/Josh Goodall defeated Alex Slabinsky 6-3 3-6 7-5 4-6 6-2
Josh Goodall continued his 100% record with a hard fought five sets victory over Alex Slabinsky.

Goodall once again got out of the blocks quickly and twice took a set lead.

However, Slabinsky showed stealy resolve to fight back strongly on both occasions, forcing the match into a decider.

Despite showing signs of fatigue at the end of the fourth set, Goodall picked up his second wind and eventually ran out a 6-2 winner in his first career five-setter.

Colin Fleming defeated Dan Evans 7-5 6-2 0-6 6-0
Colin Fleming bounced back from the disappointment of losing on Monday to get off the mark against Dan Evans.

Fleming looked in control of proceedings after two relatively straight forward opening sets but Evans would not go down without a fight.

Just as he had in his first match, Evans recovered to win the third set - this time by a remarkable 6-0 score line.

However, Fleming was not to be denied, dipping into his energy reserve to win the next six games without reply to clinch the match.
