Damnit!  I've ran out of white!!! fainting  Think I'm gonna have to order some threads for my New York picture and add some extra white.

Maddening ... especially if you are in the middle of something ....

What did you decide about your New York picture - which one?

The twin tower lights, but I'm working on the design, at the moment is about A3 size and the majority of it will be dark.

Heres a snipet of what it could look like ....

I think it would look great from a distance, almost like a real picture.  It'll have 29 colours.

If you step back and look at it, it looks like an oil painting.  I don't envy you doing all those lighted windows though !!

I don't know how you do itty bitty parts, like the lights, but whenever I've been doing something like that, I work the one stitch then bring the floss to the front and leave it hanging there.  Take the needle out and thread up for the next one.  I have sometimes had as many as 9 different threads hanging out the front ... I'd never leave them at the back as you can't see what is going on and they can get caught up.  Did any of that make any sense lol

Yeah I get that lol  I tend to go for one colour at a time for the furthest I can go with it.  With is one I think I'll start with the blue light, then the decreasing blue, then the statue.  I think I'll have to do the yellow windows in square blocks and work my way across it.  Then finish with the background.

Wow that's gonna be massive! Rather you than me lol

Hahaha, but hey!  Its only following a pattern right? :P  Man, if I mess up I'll be screwed!!

As I ran out of white it was only for the edging, so I'm doing the backstitch in the middle until I restock Very Happy

Cross stitch no 3 is on hold until I get more white, luckily thats the only bit that needs doing.  Starting on CS no 4 then I'll be ordering thread for the NY pic Very Happy
