You can't blame Russians or Germans for the things that have happened in the past. Governments did those things. Governments that did not have the support of the people. They were dictatorships and in no way can you blame Russian people or German people.
I for one have got to know a lot of Russian here in NY. I go to school with a lot and they are great people. I would never say anything bad against Russians in general. I personally just don't trust the Russian government and leaders.
I'm not saying blame them, I'm saying be aware of the flaws and faults in humanity that cause these types of governments and regimes, not matter where in the world. Sorry wasn't trying to imply we hold it over their heads forever.

I'm not just saying that Russians in general are still stereotyped, but governments are too.
But I guess that happens in every country. I'm positive that the Russian media spewed as much babble on Bush as the American media does on Putin.

Why can't people say bad things about Bush?
You can certainly say that you don't like Putin and that's alright...

I don't attack Putin's character. That is the difference.

I actually really like Putin's personality. I don't like his policies or his ideology or his methods. Nor do I trust him.

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

What made Brainless Bush so dangerous was that was a hot-headed warmonger, who had a willing poodle in Tony Blair.
I was working in London during the 1963 Cuban Missile Crisis and have never been so scared in my life. We went through 13 days of very real fear as Kennedy and Kruschev eye-balled each other. Kruschev, who was more than a little unbalanced, kept sending rambling, threatening messages to Kennedy, who mercifully kept his nerve, and, through secret deals, the crisis was defused. It was this incident which led to the setting up of the Moscow-Washington "hot line". I hate to think what might have happened had Bush been President then.
