You can always collude with someone and say you weren't sure who was driving. This is something you can do only once, mind, and only for fixed cameras, not the handheld ones, cos they shoot you from the front. The rozzers let you off but send you a stiff letter.
There's a picture of the front of the car from high up Think

I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

Might be worth a shot. See if your dad will do a deal with you.

I was on 9 points for about three months. Drove everywhere at about 28mph. Luckily not over Tower Bridge.

Apparently there's a reasonable chance I'll get offered the course, so just got to wait for their next letter first.

I've got a 207 Amy - diesel.  Gets almost 60 mpg and is a great little car.  Fits right in to Tesco's carpark!

When you've got time, go to the Peugot dealer and ask him how much you could get a "Demonstrator" for ... there's usually quite a bit off them.  Either that, or just tell him you want one with low mileage.  Another way to check out prices is to get on Autotrader.   Smile

I was thinking you were crazy buying a new car! I don't think people do that sort of thing unless they've been in full time employment for 8-10 years... it's only a car at the end of the day, I would get something like a second hand VW Golf Smile

Agreed, buying new seems a bit crazy to me as well.

Even if I had loads of money, I'd still probably buy second hand.

Yeah but I figured you'd have less maintense and problems with a new car.  You won't have one off payments for when something goes wrong as much.

Yes, but there's a big difference between buying a banger, which is what you're talking about here, and a new car ... there's everything in between.

Not necessarily... you'll scrap a new Ford after 4 years yet there are second hand 8 year old Volkswagens on the market which will last another decade, ah Germans make awesome cars. Parts may actually be cheaper since there are more models around.
