My family have only had 2 cars since I was born - a Mercedes and a BMW and we only got rid of the later because it was too big for London. They're f**king awesome cars. Smile
Yeah, the size of some of them takes a lot of getting used to. Eventually it's all just having faith in yourself that you won't scratch a car when really, you don't know for sure.

La De Da Julia :P  We are a Citren, Ford, Peugeot family lol

Not really, you save a ridiculous amount of money in the long run? The one we have now is on it's 14th year and I think it cost something in the region of £15,000. And it's only broken down once - after driving to Italy and back. Think

I never thought there was much reason for driving about in London anyway.

It's down to how you feel about public transport and how much you enjoy driving. I'd rather take a 1.5 hour journey in the car listening to the radio than 45min on public transport.

My parents drive it around Europe. Smile

Not sure now, I assume an insane amount because of my post ^ but I know they got it when it had gone 10,000 miles which is basically new. Never had a brand new car.

Wow, probably the only place on earth when driving takes longer than public transport lol  I'm hoping I can get back in the accounts game once I'm driving, then I don't have to be too picky on location of work.

First have to reply back saying I'm the driver... then they will probably give me £60 fine with 3 points OR £95 with 2.5 hour course with no points.

I'm desperately hoping the latter, I really don't care at all about the fine, it's the points.
I got offered the course for £95 instead of the penalty points, woohoo!!! yay

I use an app on my phone to warn me as I approach speeding cameras but I wasn't paying attention on London Bridge because I assumed going under 30 would be fine.
