Google have bought Motorola Mobility* for $12.5 billion... looking forward to see what comes from this.

*Motorola split into two companies, Google has taken over the company that makes the phones.

Ah right I was wondering earlier what Motorola Mobility was... what else apart from phones does Motorola make?

One of the guys working in the Google Glass project developed contact lenses with a pixel display... maybe that's an idea of things to come Smile

Mark.. is this for real?  I wear contacts, but if there's the tiniest speck on one of my lenses it looks like a giant annoying balloon to my eye, so how would this work?

The contact lenses are more an early development thing, rather than having any real use. I think it only has 1 pixel which is wirelessly powered. But creating a full display at that size should be possible - nanotechnology is incredible and we are lucky to live in the age of its mass commercialisation Smile
