With a windchill of around -37 deg. C.
Your breath hangs in mid-air and falls to the ground as fine snow.

That is cold !!!! Do you go out ??

Aileen.. I'm sure you must have some great views at times, tho'.
In Aberdeen the area I grew up in was on a hill, overlooking the whole city. I'd often sit at my bedroom window and marvel at it.

Deb.. yes, life goes on. Our vehicles have block heaters, you just plug them into your electricity at night. We also have auto-starts to warm them up, the roads are cleared.
As for walking.. well, let's just say Bruce will unfortunately lose out today. The problem isn't the temperature..you can deal with that easily just by happing yourself up warmly with layers. The problem is the windchill.
Yesterday (which was a relatively balmy -15 deg C).. I had my deerhunter hat on with the top cap down over my forehead..my scarf wrapped around my face..and my sunglasses on (because the sun is beautiful but harsh on my eyes against the snow).
Brucie was my guide dog yesterday because I couldn't see a bloomin thing as my glasses were constantly steamed up with my breath. Very Happy

I do indeed, especially in the spring and summer, and as the flat faces west I get to see some really spectacular sunsets as well.

Gas stations here have had to close their car washes due to safety concerns (when vehicles exit and are not fully dry, the water is causing ice-rinks in the lot.)

I went to take laundry out of my tumble dryer and I guess they were still a wee damp at the time.. turned into frozen clothing sculptures, Ha!

Salt will not work on roads/sidewalks here right now if temp is below (I think) -15 deg C. They have to use sand. Very messy.

For snow-lovers .. want some? You're welcome.

Thanks Bev because it's still pretty chilly here with a biting wind and not too many sunny days.  Compared to where Linda is though it definitely rates as a heatwave!
