As in edit or quote the post and then copy the link to the picture?
You can't do this in e-mails the same way as you there isn't a "link" for the picture unless the photo has been posted via a link and it's listed.
Otherwise, you can right click on the picture and it should give you an option for "copy this picture" and that's it. Right click in the next e-mail or wherever you want to post it and hit paste. I think. Will check to make sure.
EDIT:
Options are actually "Copy Link url" /" Copy Image URL"/ " Copy Image"
These options should appear in an e-mailed picture as well. Let me know if not.
Thanks Neil. Will check this out.
Have looked at this and got none of the options you gave me, so I just right-clicked on "copy" on the picture, as I would with painted text, went to an email I'd started, clicked on "paste", and there it was. Simple as that, yet I'd always thought it would be more complicated. I'm sure I've tried copy and paste unsuccessfully in the past, but have recently upgraded from Windows Vista Home Basic to Windows 7 Ultimate, so maybe that has something to do with it?
Ooops - don't know why, but sometimes when I've sent the email with the picture (to myself) it comes out OK yet at other times after I've sent it all that I get is a blank square/rectangle with a small icon in the top LH corner. Clicking on this is like clicking on a link and I get back to the webpage I copied the picture from
and I apologise if you're confused by now too!

So are emails still going to trash? If so, Then you have a filter still enabled. Look through them all here:
https://mail.google.com/mail/#settings/filters
I’ve deleted all my filters. I’m assuming all emails will still go into Trash because I’ve corrupted my Inbox.

If emails no longer go to trash but you want to move back the ones that did, then you need to do an advanced search for the 'noreply@' murraysworld email address and then highlight all the emails that come up from the search result and send them to Inbox.
I’ve emptied Trash. I’m now having to use it as my Inbox. How do I contact Google-help? This seems to be a pathetic feature of their “wonderful” system.

None of this is Google's fault, their Gmail service, much like all their services, are flawless.
Apparently if ALL mail is going to trash then it's a sign your account was hijacked, so make sure an intruder hasn't set any forwarders:

Well something weird is going on. I’ve deleted all my Filters. My emails are now coming into my Inbox BUTTTTTTTTTTT ALL my 1000 emails in twenty different Contact Folders have DISAPPEARED!!!!!
This all started when I accidentally created Filters for all the four emails in my Inbox.
This couldn’t happen if I were using my talktalk.net address could it?
How do I check for forwarders from the window you’ve sent?
This has put me RIGHT OFF of Google. What advantages is it supposed to be providing? I’ve lost everything it contained.
How could it happen?

George, this is your fault, you screwed up so stop trying to blame
the
best email service in the world for your mistakes. I don't think you've actually deleted 1000 emails, you've just managed to hide them. They try to make this sort of thing idiot proof, so it would be very clear if you were to delete that many emails... unless of course you got hijacked, let's hope not.
It's difficult to know what you've done and guide you through it, I could always login to your email as last resort if you want (muahaha) but you would probably have better support on the
official Gmail support forum
.
To check if an intruder has made it so emails are skipping the inbox and going somewhere else,
and make sure everything listed there is disabled.

I can't disable POP can I? It's obviously not idiot proof! I'll try Google help, but you can try to remotely sort it if you like. Windows Explorer is running slow too, but that could be the time of day, I guess.

OK, so it's almost idiot proof, never heard of anyone managing to do what you've done.
You shoudn't have POP enabled unless you read your emails via an application on your computer. If you do have POP enabled, maybe you selected this option in the settings:
2. When messages are accessed with POP, delete Gmail's copy.
That would certainly explain your problem because sometimes your emails would go to the inbox (when viewing emails via web browser) and sometimes they would go to trash (when viewing emails via an application).

I'm not using an application. Do you want to see for yourself?

So then POP should be disabled.
I'll look if you want to give me your user/password... never used the remote computing feature with windows so can't be bothered trying that, probably will have firewall issues.
Have you tried searching your problem in the Google forums? Someone may have done something similar to you.

I posted a question, but haven't had a reply. My emails have gone and I've deleted the empy Label Folders. There's obviously a glitch. It could cause some people a lot of trouble. I'll send you a PM with my details.
