Sup with you?

I got charged a late payment fee on my credit card despite

1) making a payment last week
and
2) it meant to take off minimum payment automatically.

Going to shout at bank tomorrow

And why do you use a credit card? Using just a debit card makes more sense.

And why do you use a credit card? What's wrong with debit, it's the better option.

Has nothing to do with them charging me.

As if that's any of your business. No offence Smile

Not offended, just baffled. Why do you feel the need to keep such talk private when you just came on here telling everyone about your CC problem? But then you probably won't answer that.

It's not a credit card problem, it's a bank charging problem.

Actually I used it to pay the balance of my uni fees then cut it up. It's 0% interest on purchases for 12 months so I've used it as a short term loan. It actually makes financial sense if you do it that way.

I've done the same thing before. Its a far better rate than an actual loan!

Yeah... I won't deny that a credit card is useful for those without money even though it brings the potential risk of falling into a black hole of debt. I guess my point is, if you have an income that is enough to live on then there are only disadvantages to using a credit card.

I don't for large purchases. Nor do a lot of people. Esp. those who want to save up to get on the housing market.

It doesn't matter whether you use it for a large or several small purchases... it has the serious potential danger of building up and pushing you into a hole you can never get out of.
