Do you have ClearType enabled?

Reply

Just curious from a web development perspective as to how many people have this enabled in Windows? It's where the font is smooth and clearer to read.

To use ClearType for screen fonts:
1.   Click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.
2.   On the Appearance tab, click Effects.
3.   Click to select the Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts check box, and then click ClearType in the list.

It's designed for LCD screens so it would make sense to have it enabled on laptops by default.

Bev, I'm going to assume you are using one of those big arse CRT monitors in which case it may not look quite right.
