Linda.......I'm so very sorry to hear about Benji and I know just how you must feel, having just been through it ourselves! Please don't give up hope! I'll pray for him and I'll be sending good vibes to you all and I'm sure all the doggie people on here will rally round and do the same, just as they did for Lulu!  hug

After spending two nights in ICU we took benji home hand feediing pure home cooked proteins and carbs and loving him. Came on murraysworld to take my mind off for a bit. Not looking good at the moment, but still has a bit of a spark. He is 11 yrs old, got him at 11 weeks old as a rescued pup.

Thank you Caz, Westie, Margaret and Dianne.
I know it's probably time, but so hard to make THAT decision when he still has that spark in his eyes. He looks in no pain. Vet tells us prognosis is poor.
We love him so.

hug hug Oh Linda, I still remember making that decision about our Wee Westie - 18 years on. One minute she was fne, the next she was under the sideboard making odd noises. I noticed and told my mum and got her out, she was lookng upset as she'd wet the floor (most unlike her). My parents took her to the vet (on a Sunday nght) and came back without her as vet was running tests, but preparing us for the worst. When  I got back from work the next day they'd had to make the decison as she had a huge tumour. I remember my mum telling me to drive carefully to work as she knew  was distracted and she phoned my wee brother's school to tell them as he had important exams - she felt a bt foolish but the dht was great and v understanding, saying if he didn't do as well as expected they would appeal under exceptional circumstances (clearly he was a doggy person who understoood that they are part of the family). Her collar and lead lay on the hall windowsill where my mum left them for about a year as no one had the heart to move them. My mum still goes on about how she cost £60 to buy and £60 to bury  (changed days, Westies are about £500 now). I'd love my own wee Westie but it would be really selfish as I'm out at work 7:45 til after 6 plus busy social life - but if they are going to make me work til 68 then once my mortgage is paid I'll go part time and have a Westie then and pay a dog walker on my work days.  Still hoping Benji recovers Linda   hug

And now you can all see the reason for my avatar - my 2 great loves!

I know this is a hard time for you linda but the pic of the dog is not a fake by Gangsta... it is his dog.

I am sorry.

I really thought that was a fake because of the odd URL of the pic.

Thanks to you both for your kind comments.  Benji is my 2nd son and I am a bit emotional right now.
