That's great Hazel. Looking forward to seeing some pics of Janha! Is that what you've named her or was she already called that?  Just one more sleep now!  Very Happy

A secure garden is absolutely essential but your Janha will tell you if it really is secure It's amazing how a determined dog can squeeze through the tiniest of spaces Take her out on a lead for the first month and con her into thinking its secure if there's any doubt I'm sure it will all go well

Already called Janha and she responds to that so we don't see the point in changing it Smile Getting really excited now! Everythings ready, all we need to do is fill her food and water bowls Very Happy

Well, you're wise to keep the name she knows. She's probably had enough changes in her little life and it's a very pretty name anyway. I was interested, because I've never heard it before. Is it pronounced Janna?

So they told us we'd be better changing her name so she's not Tara Smile Very friendly and affectionate although obviously a bit confused.

That's what I look like on a sunny day too. Perhaps we can be friends, a dog's a man's best friend.

You might find she's ultra smart and easy to train!

She does seem clever and has a decent amount of basic training. Sits and stays, comes, lets you put on the harness no bother, walks well on the lead and gets down when told (after getting on the couch without getting told!)

Hazel.....were the rescue people able to give you any background information on her, or was she just picked up as a stray?

My old boy cuillin is a cairn terrier we got him as a pup. He was the runt of the litter we all fell in love with him he is black he is now 16 and sleeps most of the time. We can see him going down hill but he is not in an pain and we love him. I guess he will pass away in his sleep and we will miss him dearly. We won't get another dog as my husband and myself are not so fit these days.Dogs are such good companions and for many people the only company they have.

Her old owner wasn't able to keep her due to ill health so asked the dogs trust to take her and rehome her.
