Hello

Yep, much better system not to have everything count on 1 exam on 1 day IMO. So much less pressure to know you only need to score like 30% in the exam to pass overall.

Hence I ended up with a B in GCSE Chemistry... I know I did crap in the exam (and there was only one), but my coursework was fab. lol

Congratulations Lorna, well done! =D>

Andrew, you'll be fine. Smile

Ah right. I think you'll be fine. Exams arent as stressful as they are piped up to be. I imagine they will be though at uni level

Yes, uni exams are fairly stressful. Especially at Oxford (not to put down any other unis, because I know that you all work just as hard) but the pressure here is IMMENSE. You have to fight your arse off just to stay average...

Good Luck Laura, I'm sure you will ace them like you did in the practice ones.
My results will come out online while I'm away in England, but I really don't want to think about them on holiday. Won't look them up until I get back.

Yep, exactly how I ended up with an A in Accounting in my 1st year at uni (last year). Exam was pretty bad but I had done so well in the 2 previous tests and all the assignments and stuff that I managed to get up there. And it worked the other way with my hardest subject (management - and essay subject). Did shite in the essays but well enough in the exam to end up with a B overall. So much better when you have a few things count rather than just 1 exam.

Really hope I haven't failed that economics. I'll lose my scholarship and have to retake the whole paper if I have, and I think its a high possibility.

Oh Alex, I didn't realise you could lose your scholarship if you don't pass!   crossfingers

=D>  Everyone for their good results!

crossfingers for everyone else that's yet to take their's.

Well not sure if I'd lose it straight away, but keeping a B average is one of the conditions for it. So failing something is not going to be very good.
