I don't think you can know that Dana, it's just your assumption and I really don't know what you base it on. He seems sincere to me whenever I have seen and heard him.
It's your assumption that he is telling the truth.
It's slightly naïve to believe that a great player on clay, practically unbeatable, really sincerely believes he could have been beaten while he won that day.

But then if he was like Federer and simply said "I was in control of that match however much he troubled me", surely you'd hate him more? Basically I don't think he can win with you.

You're absolutely right. I only like players who keep it in the middle, try to avoid the questions, don't behave like hypocrites by saying their opponent was a threat or don't act stuck-up by saying they are unbeatable.

If you avoided questions like that surely that is sort of fake.
If you weren't a Murray fan I'd bet you'd hate him

Yeah, that's true. I am physically not capable of being in the middle about someone, I either hate or like 'em.

Not as fake as false modesty.
It's a good thing I'm not famous really, there would be even more people mentally kicking my ass than there are now.

I think Rafa is incredibly modest, but I'm obviously going to say that
It's one of the reasons I like him so much
But, everyone has there own opinions of his behavior.

Back to topic: I watched Halle Berry's new film last night "Perfect Stranger" and I think this whole article is a publicity stunt. In the film she plays a reporter who uses online chatrooms to track a suspected murderer. She uses false names, so it's probably just her agent telling her to say stuff like this.

Yes her agent may of told her to say it but what she said is probably true anyway.

Indeed.
I don't see the big deal actually, why wouldn't she do those things?

Of course. Gives them some sort of escape where they can just chat to people like a "normal" memeber of the public.
Also in terms of sports stars, I know I'd be interested to get onto my club's messageboard and read about fans opinions etc. No doubt many, if not most premiership footballers for example do that.
