My wife enjoys browsing what all the scroungers on Freecycle are looking for each week. Today's is a bit of a classic.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone out there had any of the following the would kindly gift to me and my 2 young boys, you see I am a single mum and have recently moved here from scotland, as it was a BIG move we had to leave a lot behind so we are really desperate for the following and as I don't drive and don't know anyone here yet I would need the items delivered, we would be forever greatfull for any help you could give us, thanks in advance, Gayle and my 2 boys

A computer of any sorts so my son can do his homework
Dvd player
Freeview box
Ariel (for the freeview box)
Kitchen scales
Bathroom scales
Toilet brush
Kitchen utensils
Cutlery
Bowls, plates, etc
Boys toys and or clothes for age 5-6 and 8-9
Bigish mirror
Tumble dryer or clothes airer
Tent
Trampoline
Board games
Any xbox ps2 or ds games
Curling tongs
Womans size 14 clothes
Fridge/freezer
Gas cooker
Small sofa (neutral colour)

Any of these would be a great help

As my astute wife points out: 'Presumably, if she wants Xbox, PS2 and DS games, she has an Xbox, PS2 and DS? Perhaps she could sell those and buy her own cutlery?'

A better way of putting it would have been what this person said,

Just moved back to London so starting from scratch. Everything will be welcome: Kitchen elements, bedroom bits, small furniture/storage (cabinets, side tables, bookcase...) I really appreciate your help!

Oh, and a sob story is pretty much a must, like this one I just spotted:

Laptop required

We are renewing our request due to being scammed on here by a guy saying that he had one for us, and requested that we pay for a courier and insurance, so we sent him the money and ended up with nothing....DUHH..lol. I need a laptop for my girlfriend, she is registered blind, she has no vision in one eye and only 4% pinhole in the other. She lost her vision through an abusive relationship and is trying to restart her life. The reason she needs a laptop is to stay in touch with friends and family 130 miles away. In all honesty we can't afford to buy one and are relying on generosity from others for a free one. The screen should be as large as possible as she can enlarge the print and scan the page.

Just as soon as I've stopped painting my closet/garden trellis/upstairs sitting room/new spindles on the staircase/running back and forth with carpet samples that seldom seem to be much good/walking the dog/cooking/shopping/straightening my hair and did I mention posting in MW lol

35mm camera wanted plus tripod to photograph the moon and stars (astrophotography). Plus any old telescope bits and pieces. Many thanks.

Blackberry

I know that we are not supposed to ask for very expensive items on
freecycle but I am hoping that someone will have an old free blackberry
to pass on that they received by upgrading their contract.
