I agree with Crooks, it is very useful because you get to learn about history and it helps to speak French.

well i really enjoyed it, but a week was long enough. the people i stayed with were lovely! (so were some of the french boys wub lol) although i dont think i can eat another piece of cheese for at least another month! i found it quite hard to understand them as they talk so fast!
but it was definitley worth going! although i still can't believe how much i have missed!

ah la francais. sadly did both french and latin at GCSE wot a mistake that was. reckon latins been kinda useful tho. draco dormiens numquam titillandius n all that

Julia, I was not aware you had actually ever listened in Latin, thinkin that most of the time u were either chatting or copying off me! LOL! Yeah Latin is pretty bad at our skl though!

i asked to do latin till year 9 but my smelly teacher wouldnt let me Frown

hope you hada  good trip! i went on a french exchange a few years ago. where abouts did you go? i went to near a place called Fougeres (or to similar spelling) on the west coast of france. we took an overnight 12 hour ferry there and back- portsmouth to st marlo. really long but very fun!! had the time of my life on that french exchange. hope yours was the same Smile

i went to a place called l'isle d'abeau, near bourgoin, or if you don't know where that it is it is near Lyon. i had a great time, thanks for asking goodjob
