How has your life panned out since joining MW?

Quote

I was thinking that a lot of the old members have been here for over 5 years now, and that is a time gap that is measured a lot in peoples' lives. An interviewer may ask, 'Where do you see yourself in five years time?' for example

When I joined MW, I was half way through my Standard Grade exams (I was 15)

Since then, I did well in those exams, did well in my Highers, went into university down in Glasgow, and I am now in my third year here. And of course I met some girl called Julia, who bleeds me dry, along the way. Very Happy  hug

I remember when Mark was at uni, Laura was in second year at Oxford, etc etc.

When I joined MW I was waiting for my A Level results. Since then, I've done a history degree at Oxford with a semester in Princeton and a law degree in London. I've travelled to Ireland, France, Spain, Morocco, Cape Verde, the US, Japan and Malta (and Wimbledon!).

Can't believe I've been here for 5 and a half years! Can't believe you're in your third year Andrew! Amazing how time flies, hey? Smile

You just had the one tattoo if I remember, an England flag on your shoulder or something like that?

And JohnW, who was 17 when I joined, is about to become a father.

Would have hedged my bets on Mark becoming the first to do all that.

John is a legend.

Shame we can't say that for some of the other men on this board, eh, Amy? Wink

Admittedly one of the meanest things I've done on this board....but somewhat worth it.

I heard something else was a good few inches taller than you, well, that's exaggerating, but you know.
