Thanks for the support guys. I just gotta try cope the best I can, and we'll see what's going on.

And thanks for the PM's Aileen, Caz (I think) and specifically Linda. Lot's of great advice in your Pm Linda and I will send a personal reply to you this weekend, just got to get essays done as well as I can!

Haven't been on here for a bit. Good to know that was helpful.
No need to reply.

Only just found this thread and wanted to say that the very fact you started it and have showed such honesty is very much to your credit Joe.  I don't have any advice to offer and others have already offered what sounds like very good advice.    But have you thought about investigating mindfulness?  It's very helpful in developing body and self awareness and while I have no idea if it's specifically helpful for people with Aspergers, I somehow think it could be. And I could ask someone I know who teaches it, if you would like.

Joe you strike me as someone who is pretty sensitive to what others are saying in your responses when some of us jump on you for eg inappropriate language.  And that isn't always the case with people on the autistic spectrum I believe (my only direct experience being a student who sat on a disability committee I chaired some years ago).  So I hope you can take strength from the friends you have made in this virtual world and take it out into the world around you.

Oh and I hope you're feeling a  bit less down about it since you wrote your original post  hug

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I don't care what 'label' you've been given, Prod - you're a fine young man and a pleasure on here compared to some unlabelled people I've come across.  Smile

It's was dreadful here too last night and most of today, with lashing rain as well, but by mid-afternoon the storm had passed.  It's done a lot of damage though and two people killed.  Now we can all expect snow or more rain. Rolling Eyes
