Oh well, it doesn't matter.

I was put on this earth with many  health issues:

Ashtma, eczema or psorasis, flat feet.

whatever

Hot to me = girls I find attractive. The fact I suck around people I do not know usually is not helpful at all.

When I say I can handle it, I am okay, but still far from perfect.

It is horrible.

I understand only too well what you mean - but the fact is that you can and do cope, despite all these health issues, which is a big plus and not to be under-estimated.

I am just sick of ******* failing everything I do. I work my ass off and go backwards, not forwards, and I am tired of it. The only thing I do good at really is UNi.

Maybe going backwards is how it seems to you, but failure is often the key to going forward, even if its only little baby steps - and very often we don't even notice these very little steps, but, believe me, they are there nonetheless.

OK, so I accept how you feel and how you see things, but there are two things you can be proud of - the fact that you enjoy uni and are doing well there, and the fact that you are a big asset to MW and I'm sure to all who know you and appreciate you for being the likeable, loving, amusing and intelligent person you are.

No you aren't, you just think you are because that's the way you feel right now, and when you're feeling low and dispirited like that, then nothing else makes sense.  And I think you do know that what I've said is down to my own experience, nothing else.

Prod I mentioned mindfulness in an earlier post.  It may not help with the Aspergers as such but there have been studies that show it can really help with depression and it can help with self-acceptance.  Perhaps that is the first step?  If you could accept yourself with all your weaknesses perhaps others will too?  (I know I find it helpful when I'm beating myself up about this and that) And don't discount the fact that you're doing well at uni -it's not unimportant!

Joe......How can you think you're 'failing' when you're doing well at Uni? This short period of your life is crucial to what comes after, so you must make the most of it and concentrate 'all' your energies on that! Get that right and everything else will fall into place. Stop looking at girls as potential 'girlfriends' and start seeing them as 'people', because that's all they are! People with their own personal worries and problems.... just like you!  In fact, a girlfriend is the 'last' thing you need, with all the emotional ups and downs that would bring, especially with all the work you have ahead! You've no time to go looking for love right now Joe! That never works anyway. Focus on your future and trust when the time is right....love will find you! Don't worry if you can't see the rainbow at the moment.....just reach for the stars!  yes
