Update Ad-Aware, Spybot, Spywareblaster, Spywareguard, IE/SPYAD, MS Antispyware, Ewido, or whatever else... working in the antispyware forums was fun... I should carry on with it some time.

Im a weakling when it comes to these bloody viruses... im not that great at using the anti-virus thing.. and my dad is even more hopeless.
I don't usually take much notice of having a good anti-virus programme.. but since there's this rumour... could any of you guys tell me what the best virus programme to use? Maybe one that can be downloaded from the internet?
Thanks a lot
(i use Norton.. but apparently it's not that great.)

I did use Norton for many years, but they have deteriorated... now I am a McAfee fan, 'cos I was given their AV for free and it is very good.
For a free one I would definitely recommend AVG though.

I had Norton when i first got my pc and it got a virus which Norton did not pick up, after a huge bill at pc repair shop they suggested AVG Free and i haven't looked back. Also i know others who have had Norton and messed their pc up with viruses it didn't detect.
But i guess it's down to personal choice of which Anti Virus you prefer

John - you should be proud of me! Just managed to work out how to transfer all my work onto dvd.....yes i know its the easiest thing in the world, but I'm very slow when it comes to this sort of thing and i've never done it before!! I even worked out that I had to format the disc!!
Well....Im proud of myself anyway!!
