Men don't care about underwear.
Shops like La Senza would not be in business if you were correct.

In a relationship where the spark can fade, putting in that extra effort to look sexy is usually greatly appreciated by the other half.

Why do you think a woman needs lingerie to feel more sexy and wear them for their partner.
I didn't say that, you're misunderstanding me. I've already tried to clarify so not much more I can say... it seems we have gone off track a bit.

I know.  You're young.  But heaven help the girl who tries to measure up to your expectations.

Shops like Lasenza aren't open for men to get an hard on to!  They create underwear that woman want to feel good in no matter what size you are.  I wear nice underwear all the time and it isn't for the benefit of a man.  I'm sure a nice matching set can spice up a relationship, but so can any other sexy clothing.

You've simply misunderstood my posts. All I said was the obvious fact that lingerie tends to make a women feel more sexy. I never said a woman should feel the need to this or that, so you can take back that comment.

La Senza's typical range of stores you find in the high street primarily exist so that women can wear attractive underwear for other peoples' eyes, not their own. It's certainly not intended for women who want to just buy some granny pants for comfort.

I've not misunderstood your posts.  You are claiming that a woman feels sexy according to the underwear they wear.  Well, it's rubbish.  Sometimes life gets in the way, and a woman doesn't have to prove anything to their partner.   That's the best.  Smile

Mark is just being Mark ...^ like lots of other guys, he just doesn't understand some aspects of the female psyche .....

Oh, and to answer the original question about who pays what.  I think women should buy their own underwear and if their partner wishes to buy something cute for them, then that is great.  I don't think women should buy the underwear and then present their partners with the bill - sounds to me like there is more to this whole discussion than meets the eye ..... uh huh !!  Is it a case of "if you want me to wear that type of underwear, then you pay for it" ????? Eyebrow raise.

Oh good, so we are actually in agreement then.

Lingerie makes most women feel that little bit more sexy and confident with the opposite sex which in turn makes them feel good, as you say. Very few women will ever buy lingerie for personal comfort or to just look attractive in the mirror with no one else appreciating it.

OK fine, if you think it's normal for women to feel just as sexy in granny pants compared to flirtatious lingerie then that's your opinion and we'll just have to disagree.

Do you think this way of thinking is unfair then? This is exactly the scenario that I'm talking about when I say I'm unclear of who should do what.

Well, that question begets another question .....

If the gal is saying to the guy "if you want me to wear this type of underwear then you can pay for it" suggests to me that she does not want to wear it in the first place.

I'm saying any relationship goes deeper than lingerie.  If that was all I was wanting in life, I'd be hooked up to the stars.

There's good sex, and then there's truly caring about each other... big difference.

Well obviously and I've never implied otherwise, so not sure why you are making that point in response to my post. Unless of course you have misunderstood where I've been coming from in this thread, which I think is the case but you deny Wink
