I think it's fine if the 'bride' is not being forced into it by anyone and as I previously mentioned, some of these arrangements may turn into fruitful relationships.

Women are still inferior in a lot of these countries.

Specific to Russia, alcoholism is a serious issue (my grandad, aunt and my uncle's wife all died from this in their 40s/50s). It's more common in men and a lot of women can no longer put up with it but can't afford to support themselves and there are no state benefits. For the younger ones it's just money. yes

That's a funny expression when you consider having a girl come into your life will most likely make a dishonest man out of you.

Honesty is one of the reasons I'm single now.

Certainly, arranged marriages are a million times worse than these internet brides. If you watch the episode I posted you will see that brides do have a right and a choice through the organisations. You would be an idiot to think it's not for the money initially?
