Kl! I got an ipod mini a couple of yrs ago in silver, 1 of the older 1s. They r so kl aren't they!

I got this thing called an itrip, and its something to do with listening to the radio, and you clip it onto the top of the ipod

Zen micros are brilliant, wish id come across this convo earlier cos cud hav advisd u. i tlkd 2 loadsa ppl abt it b4 i got mine and theyre so much more reliable than ipods (and u can get them in beta colours) ipods r mainly a status symbol. also i wud hav got a mini but they dnt do those nemore :-( all th accessores r for nanos which i wud frankly break if not lose lol. so 4 ne1 else undecisive go 4 th micro!! ;-)

I dunno, I no wat u mean, but I prefer the ipod cos it is simpler and easier 2 use. Tey aslo tend 2 b reliable and I find they r more visually attractive. However don't u get the radio on a zen micro? I no wat u mean bout the nanos, I wud h8 2 get 1 and break it, but the video is sooo cool!

Hello. I don't have an ipod or an MP3 player. I still use CDs!! Fortunately my mum owns shares in the company which makes the microchips for ipods and they've gone up 50% over Christmas. So I've decided that I like ipods a lot. There can't be many people apart from myself who don't own one so they must be nearing saturation point. Although they're cool and a great invention they're still quite expensive compared to mp3 players I think, you have to go to the hassle of downloading and there's the danger that no-one will hear the lesser known "album" songs of bands anymore. Bands will only be known for their hits. Now to counter it bands have started playing concerts where they play their famous albums in full to let people hear all their songs. Recently, Belle and Sebastion (a top band) played 4 nights in Glasgow in a row and each night played one of their albums in its entirety. --I'd stll like to own one though!

lol.it must be something about iains.i dont have an mp3 player either but i really dont like the idea of them.partly to do with the type of music i generally listen to though.was at beele and sebastian gig in glasgow tonight but not sure exactly what they played apart from funny little frog and some ac/dc song someone requested and they did on the spur of the moment which was very impressive

ive heard of an iRiver. apparently theyre good.

And i agree. i had a nano n it was so small i always lost it or sat on it or something!!
the new video one is much more practical size and so much better (its black too....)

i thought one of the resons for ipods being cool was the whole white thing (i have no knowledge of fashions or whatever so dont know whether this is actually true, id just assumed it for some reason)

yeah it was great.sorry i didnt get anything (photos or set list etc.) was really cool cos we got to go to all the vip areas and stuff.also got to go to the aftershow party (wed been told by the band we could go backstage but the stewards apparently wouldnt let anyone) although i had to leave quite quickly cos i had to get a train back to edinburgh.apparently stuart (the lead singer) came thru to talk to the ppl i was with (who all know him) just after i left tho Frown was a really good night tho and if anyone has the chance to go to any of their other gigs (think theyre doing quite a few in england over the next month or so) i would recommend it

my nano was white so wanted a change. got ablack video one instead and it does look far more classier than the white one i had. after a while it just looked dirty.
