I'm heterosexual, but it doesn't matter to me whether somebody is hetero, bi, or gay. It's what they are as a person that counts, not their sexuality. Unfortunately a lot of people just don't see it that way. Whether this is due to ignorance or because it makes them feel embarrassed and uncomfortable, I can only guess, but what I do know is that there are a lot of hetero males who are secretly terrified that they should be thought in any way gay, which probably explains why some are so keen to adopt the macho image.
If it's of any comfort to you, we did have a gay member on MW for quite a while. He eventually came out and told us, and I'm glad to say he got a great deal of support.
