Lance Armstrong scandal

Reply

I'm beginning to understand he wasn't the only one, but the way he aggressively went after others and made their lives hell either through court action, denying a place on the team, and public ridicule in order to save his own bacon seems despicable to me.

His bullying of people, like the Irish masseuse, the journalist David Walsh who accused him for years (and was this year named as UK Journalist of the Year), the way he railroaded teammates who refused to dope - that was one of the most unacceptable things for me. He's proved himself to be a total control freak.

What I don't get is how he got away with it for so long.

Jimmy Savile.

The more public and brazen you are, the more people accept what you do.

In part 2 Oprah asks this:

"Was it just you being your cocky, arrogant, jerk self that did the tweet with you lying back with all of those jerseys?"

^Me too. I was hoping he would show a more empathetic side to his nature, but frankly he's coming across even more shitty.

He said he was being 'defiant' when he posted that pic of all his jerseys on his twitter.

I was hoping it would get worse. I don't want him getting back up from this.

I find it interesting he said the lowest point was when he was asked to step aside from the Livestrong foundation.

He is about to talk about his children now. I hope he will say his lowest point was witnessing the pain his kids are going through.
Especially his 13yr old son.
Poor boy..

I don't like how he refers to this entire scandal as a slip-up.
