Nothing too technical this time.
Just wondering if Mark, or anyone else for that matter knows anything about a brand called 'Alienware.' I've started seeing their laptops and PCs in shops lately having never heard of them before, and looking at their websites they seem to run a similar service to Dell, while also selling in shops too. There's a verytempting special offer involving Alienware in one shop here and as I may be on the lookout for a new computer soon I just thought I'd see if anyone knows whether they are any good or not.

I'm pretty sure Alienware do some of the best laptops around apart from they tend to be very expensive.

There is no doubt if money wasn't an issue I would choose Alienware over everyone else.

Rochelle, you would probably have to go out and buy the software package in the shops. There are various different versions of Vista which cater for different needs, so look before you choose.

Probably a bit better than XP. The 3-D window thing sounds nice, and apparently its a lot more secure and runs more efficiently. goodjob

Hewlett Packard I have learnt are also ****. And I wouldn't upgrade to Vista just yet. It's sure to come free with 4 million bugs and errors, wait and see how the first people go with it.
