They aren't.  They're all over the UK.  Trouble is Google knows my location is Scotland so keeps throwing these stores up.  I had to google Nigel's one independently because I knew he lived in Lancashire.

I could only see these stores listed on their website, the one for Preston being on there.  confused

Hazel I have a friend a nurse who injured herself at work a few years back. She went to see Jan de Vries at that time he lived in Dumfries so it was a long way for her to travel. She went for a few sessions and he back got a lot better. Now she is pain free so as Aileen said it would be worth your while to pay the shop a visit. My friend Cathy is fine now and she would recommend him to anyone.

Google added Preston to that list after I'd checked out Lancashire for Nigel and copied the link.  It is a bit puzzling though because they claim to operate throughout the UK and Ireland.  The only two other I could come up with are both clinics -

http://www.jandevrieshealth.co.uk/clinics_london_hadleywood.asp  (Marcus Webb is his son-in-law)
http://www.jandevrieshealth.co.uk/clinics_belfast.asp

He does, however, travel round the UK and Ireland giving talks and free consultations at various venues, where, presumably, his products can be bought/ordered, and the dates and places of these can be found here - http://www.jandevrieshealth.co.uk/news.asp

Also, from what I can see online, I think a lot of health food shops merely stock his products as opposed to being owned by him.

You'd think that they would make it easy for people to find them, since they appear to have a good reputation Think

Saw my oncologist yesterday for results of a boring barrage of tests on my lung (shows chronic - but stable- lung disease related to post radiation.)
Anyhoo... whatever.
Doc was more interested in my high potassium level at 7.6.. so I was promptly whisked to ER and spent the day there hooked up like a Christmas tree.. They sent me home after 3 blood tests, final one showed 5.1.
Gotta go back for more bloodwork Saturday.  Better not keep me in bcos it's my birthday on Sunday and I want to see Andy in the MC final. Wink
(Must admit I don't feel too good tho')

Hope you feel a bit better Scotnadian especially close to your birthday. I know how you feel some days I feel really tired though it is my own fault. My blood sugar is raised and I have to be more careful with my diet. Hope you are feeling better, have a nice birthday. Watched Ranoic yesterday think he needs to get a little more fired up.

I believe I am now paying the price of the long-term effects of chemo/radiation and the bone marrow transplant I had to treat Hodgkins way back when.
I'm so used to specialists/hospitals/scans/tests that I call myself a 'professional patient.' Rolling Eyes
The only autonomy I have over my health is my diet and lifestyle.. and I believe I do a good job of that.
And I ain't losing my sense of humour yet.   Wink

What does heartburn feel like? I've been getting a sharp stabbing pain right over/around my heart recently and not sure why.

Heartburn is a burning sensation in your chest, just behind your breastbone.  The pain is often worse when lying down or bending over and you can sometimes feel a bit sick with it.  Just another term for "indigestion" really.

If the pain is sharp, it could be muscular in origin.  I've had that but it's been to the left of my chest.

Suggest you try some indigestion remedy (Gaviscon is excellent).  If that eases it then it probably is heartburn.  On the other hand if it's muscular, then ordinary pain-killers should shift it.

Don't think it's heartburn then. I'll see if it happens again Smile

Thanks lb, Aileen & Iris.
My hubbster said to me the other day that ever since he met me I started falling to bits..... and I said to him: "Funny you should say that bcos every since I met YOU, I started falling to bits." Wink  Seriously tho, he's been great and saw me through quite a lot, and continues to do so.  I'm a lucky lady... but then, he's just as lucky to have me too.. and that's exactly how it should be.
I don't know why my life has been so challenging.. I don't have the answers.  I do try to think positively, and be grateful that I have a much better life and health than many people in this crazy world of ours.
