I believe I am now paying the price of the long-term effects of chemo/radiation and the bone marrow transplant I had to treat Hodgkins way back when.
I'm so used to specialists/hospitals/scans/tests that I call myself a 'professional patient.'
The only autonomy I have over my health is my diet and lifestyle.. and I believe I do a good job of that.
And I ain't losing my sense of humour yet.
Oh your sense of humour is well to the fore!
Very sorry to hear about the other stuff though.
What does heartburn feel like? I've been getting a sharp stabbing pain right over/around my heart recently and not sure why.
Heartburn is a burning sensation in your chest, just behind your breastbone. The pain is often worse when lying down or bending over and you can sometimes feel a bit sick with it. Just another term for "indigestion" really.
If the pain is sharp, it could be muscular in origin. I've had that but it's been to the left of my chest.
Suggest you try some indigestion remedy (Gaviscon is excellent). If that eases it then it probably is heartburn. On the other hand if it's muscular, then ordinary pain-killers should shift it.
