HI ALL!

Just been reading all your lovely posts and I very much appreciate you all thinking about me and praying for me.  Fortunately I think I've started to come out of the latest bout of depression so the threatened prospect of having to go into hospital has been removed. yay  I've really been missing you all so will be glad to get back in amongst you again but it will take a few days before I'm really back to my old self.

Meanwhile grouphug grouphug to all you wonderful, caring people.

Good to have you back, you have been missed.

.I havd weaned myself off of the antidepressent med.  Seems as though my thyriod med is kicking in,got on the scales and am down 4 pounds without even trying.THis is good for me.the specialist I saw said so many women are given meds for depression but should first have the thyroid checked. Its a very busy little gland that effects so much of one's body.Weight gain ,hair loss mood swings and so much more..Anyway i am very pleased. The Lexapro has horrible side effects when comming off of it.I think i have done well.Sometimes my head feels a little wooly but I can cope with that and soon that will go away.

That's excellent news Dianne!  I'm glad you were prepared to go through the withdrawal symptoms, so well done for persevering.  It'll be well worth it in the end. hug

My GP once told me that the thyroid rules everything, and I have mine checked every year, but it seems to be behaving itself, so I doubt I can blame it for anything.

I have just found out the extent of damage to my Kidneys. I had an appointment yesterday and found out my kidneys had only been working at 26% and that is why nearly all of my diabetes medication had been stopped. If kidney function had gone any lower I would have ended up in hospital. It is now back up to 34% hopefully it will go up further. But it just shows that if you are not persistent you are not told this had obviously been going on for some time. I got this information from a nurse and not my GP needless to say I was very cross with my GP. In future I will not take no for an answer and be persistent I do get the information I require.

I agree with Caz.  Sometimes you just have keep hammering away to try to get the information you want, although I know from experience that it can be a long and very testing exercise, and I too hope that your kidney function will return to normal soon and that you will be enjoying life again. hug

Feeling a bit better today. Had a lovely day yesterday I visited my closest friend I have know her since my nursing training so good friend for many years. It was nice to relax she lives in the country it was so peaceful and great to chat with her and her daughters so less stressful. Although she is having a lot of renovations done she lives in farm cottage. Nice to get away from all the hustle of living in town.
