Hazel, did you have an accident, or is this something congenital? Apologies if you have told us before.
Too much studying...sad thing is I'm not joking
When I was 16 when I was doing my highers I obviously had bad posture and studied for too long in the same position and didn't realise how tense I was getting. Over the Christmas hols I was waking with shooting pains in my wrist but thought it was the way I was sleeping.
Went back and in the first week back got shooting pains up and down in my arm in the middle of class.
Went to the doctor and they thought it was repetitive strain, after weeks of physio wasn't improving. Basically my tied up back was making my wrist worst and my wrist was making my back worse
So eventually my back was loosened up again but it went on months and months so it damaged the nerves in my back and they are really sensitive. So my muscles tense up really easily and my nerves get sore.
It's played up twice majorly while I was at uni, lasting several months each time, meaning physio and tons of strong painkillers both times
