Do you still have your tonsils? I notice this link clicked on the tonsil area of the website ............
I intentionally linked the page about tonsillitis because I wanted to show the website properly in action. That is what the doctor thinks I probably have and it's nice to read up about it and then see a professional made video on it.
I've been trying my best to work out whether I have any symptoms that would indicate that I have specifically Strep Throat or Tonsillitis. Both illnesses have almost identical symptoms so it's very difficult, even for doctors, to figure out what one you have. It seems 'chills' is used a lot as a symptom for tonsillitis but I haven't seen it used much for Strep Throat, therefore I currently think I have tonsillitis.
And yes, I have my tonsils, apparently surgery to remove them is fairly unusual these days.

I thought you most probably left it linked on purpose - it seems like a nice website. I often look at WebMD ... another good one.
I thought you most probably still had your tonsils .... so, are you feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed now ??

Feeling improved now, before I couldn't walk around or sit up for long but now I can and my stomach discomfort is not so bad now.

Sounds like you are improving - slowly. Don't eat anything other than light food and keep drinking lots of fluid. do you still have a sore throat?

OJ is acidic so you are supposed to avoid it with what I have... who knows if that vitamin C business actually helps anyway

Supposed to avoid OJ with tonsilitis? I didn't know that. I don't know if Vit C does actually help - I just alwys read that it did.

I think you're supposed to avoid anything acidic while you have any sort of throat infection as it will sting like hell

^ Apparently tonsilitis is one of those things that manifests when your immune system is shot to hell. I used to get it regularly as a teenager, along with a shitty fever that left me rambling like a loony.... Drum roll - no change there, then....

That's true - it does sting, but on the offchance it was actually going to do you some good, you could "suck it up" and give it a whirl .... failing that buy Vit C tabs.

I'm fully to blame for getting tonsillitis, I have a good immune system but when I have excessive sugar in take, my defences seem to suffer and thus I get ill. It's the same pattern for me every time without fail.

You want to watch that, Mark. Is there a history of diabetes in your family?
