I've already tried Rescue Remedy.. and also Gravol.
Last weekend when we took him to the dog park, hubby gave him a doggie biscuit and told him to "leave it" until he got into the truck. Then he said "go get it" and after that he never said a peep.
Same thing coming back.
Yesterday, we tried the same thing.. didn't work this time HaHa! But he was much better coming home because he'd been running around for half an hour non-stop.
I'd drive him to the dog park every day if I could, but I can't trust him to either get loose, or else try to choke himself or get tangled up so I have to stop driving. So I always need someone with me.
The SSPCA and Glasgow University did a study which shows that classical music has a calming effect on dogs in kennels. Maybe a bit of Mozart would work for Brucie in the car.
